Cullingworth Bowling Club News

Development Grant Accepted

As part of Cullingworth Bowling Club’s intention to further develop its crown green bowling clubhouse and grounds we recently applied for a grant from the national Sport England organisation towards the cost of enhancing our provision.

We were therefore extremely pleased when we were notified that we had been granted a sum of money towards meeting our objectives.

We were also fortunate to receive a grant of £880 from the local Bingley Bubble towards the purchase of eight sets of junior bowls. Additional Bowls Buddies equipment was funded from the Sport England grant and is today now being used to good effect by local children.

Having approached the parks and recreation departments of Bradford MDC our initial meetings on site indicated positive support for our objectives ( having previously submitted a detailed proposal to them). Further discussions are ongoing as we progress various planned developments.
